Over the course of 40-plus years, the Walker’s Choreographers’ Evening has offered an exciting range of Minnesota dance reflective of each choreographer/guest curator who frames the evening through a specific lens. From established dancemakers forging new ideas to the scene’s youngest and brightest, this cherished event has become an honored rite of passage in Minnesota dance circles. Slight Line is a continuation of Jordan Rosenow's choreography exploring dance as sculpture. By utilizing stillness and activating the body’s postures and limitations, dancers perform slow movements that create dissonance with the driving rhythm. Fluidity blends into linear arrangements and visibility is divided on the stage.
